Choco Ants On A Log

Celery with peanut butter is a long-standing snack item at parties and into school lunchboxes. It can be kept unrefrigerated for several hours and retains its crispness, appearance and flavor. This tasty treat does have many healthy components, making it a good choice for snacking by all ages.

Most people eat celery stalks, either raw, boiled or baked. One serving of celery contains 18 calories, 2 grams of fiber and 1 gram of protein. It is fat-free and low in sodium. Celery does help with weight loss when it is used to replace higher calorie snack foods.

Celery is  known for being a "negative-calorie" food because the body burns more calories to digest celery than it receives from eating the green stalk. Peanut butter is a good snack food to eat in moderation, and celery tastes amazing with peanut butter.

Ingredients:

4 stalks celery
1 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup of mini dark chocolate chips

Directions:

Clean the celery and cut into 4-inch lengths. Add peanut butter into the cavity and it is ready to eat. For extra nutrition, dot with mini dark chocolate chips or raisins or dried cranberries. Enjoy!
