How To Make Best Basan Barfi

Besan ki barfi is made with besan (gram flour) and sugar. The sugar blends into a creamy texture that comes from the basic mixture, khoya (optional), a traditional Pakistani and Indian dairy confection made from thickened whole milk. The mix is generally heated until the milk solidifies and is then placed in molds of different shapes—diamond, square or sometimes round. Besan Burfi is a popular Indian sweet made with gram flour, ghee and flavored with cardamom, especially during winter.It is usually garnished with sliced or chopped almonds or pistachios. 1 cup ghee, 200 grams 3 cups besan, 325 grams (gram flour) 1.5 teaspoon cardamom powder 2 cups minus 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar, 360 grams 1/2 cup +1 tablespoon water, 120 ml + 15 ml chopped pistachios, for garnishing Heat a pan/Kadai, add the besan-ghee mix and start roasting over low-medium flames. Keep whisking the roasted besan till you finally smell a nutty flavor coming from the roasted besan and it would also become richer in color (slightly dark orange-brown). Add cardamom powder and mix well. Meanwhile, in another pot heat together sugar and water to make the 1 Thread Sugar syrup. Once the sugar syrup is made, Now add the syrup in to the roasted besan and turn the heat to medium. Keep whisking this mixture unless the texture begins to harden a little. Turn off the heat and transfer the mix to a greased pan. Add chopped Pistacho on top and leave outside or keep in the fridge for 30 minutes to set. Once it's cool down, slice the besan barfi and serve immediately or store in an air-tight container.

Pour dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing together to combine. Do not over mix the batter. Pour into prepared baking dish, smooth the top and bake at 350F (180C) degrees for 50 minutes. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then remove from the baking pan and set aside to cool completely. Slice and serve with your favorite topping.

Healthy Banana Peanut Butter Oatmeal Pancakes

These Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Pancakes are bursting with flavor and are so good, you wouldn't think its healthy! The idea for these pancakes was not new to me. I've actually made flour-less pancakes before out of just eggs and bananas. It turned out so well I decided to level it all up. The idea of adding peanut butter and oatmeal also came about in my attempt to make healthy food that's still fun and enjoyable to eat. Ingredients 2 ripe bananas 3 large eggs 2 tablespoons peanut butter ¾ cups quick-cooking oats (make sure they're gluten-free) Instructions 1. In a medium bowl, mash bananas until most lumps are gone. Add eggs, peanut butter, and oats. Stir until the ingredients are fully mixed and smooth. 2. Heat pan over medium-high heat. Once pan is ready, lightly spray evenly with olive oil. 3. Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop out batter onto your pan. Cook batter on pan about 2-3 minutes or until bubbles start to form or until you see the edges of the pancakes setting up well. 4. Slowly flip it over and cook for another 2-3 minutes. 5. Repeat procedures until all batter is gone. Stack cooked pancakes and top with your favorite fruits, honey, or maple syrup.

Peanut butter and bananas are a great combination, but sandwich them between french toast and you have a warm gooey treat for breakfast! I love peanut butter and any new way of eating it Ingredients 4 eggs 4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter 2 small banana, sliced 4 slices bread 1 dash vanilla extract (optional) Directions: In a small bowl, lightly beat the egg and vanilla together.Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on top of each slice of bread. Place the banana slices on top of one of the slices of bread. Place the other slice of bread on top of the first, to make a peanut butter and banana sandwich.
In a skillet or frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Dip the sandwich into the egg mixture and place in the heated skillet. Cook until brown on both sides. Serve hot.

One Pot Baked Chicken and Potato Dinner

One pan baked chicken and potatoes tossed in the most flavorful spice combo and baked in the oven until juicy tender. 

Ingredients: 2.5 lb potatoes 1 Tsp paprika 2 Tbsp Olive Oil Salt and pepper to taste
Ingredients for the chicken
2 Lb Chicken thighs 1 Onion Cut into chunks 2 Tbsp Olive oil 1/2 Onion powder 1 Tsp Rosemary 1 Green Pepper Cut into chunks Chili pepper flakes optional 1 Tsp Garlic powder 2 Tsp Paprika 1 Tsp Salt or to taste 1 Tsp Black pepper 10-12 baby Carrots Wash the chicken and season with all the spices and add the Olive Oil. Mix the Chicken thoroughly with the spice and set aside for 5 to 10 minutes. Directions for Potatoes Wash the potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel or a clean kitchen towel. Cut the potatoes in half. Throw them into the baking pan. Add the Carrots, Onions, green peppers, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and olive oil and mix together. Place the Chicken over the seasoned potatoes and vegetables and bake at 425°F for 45 to 50 minutes or till the chicken and potatoes are perfectly cooked through. An instant-read thermometer inserted through the thickest part of the chicken should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Restaurant Style Jeera Rice

Jeera rice or Zeera rice is an Indian and Pakistani dish consisting of rice and cumin seeds.[1] It is a popular dish in North India and Pakistan as an everyday rice dish.[2] It is easy to prepare, unlike biryani. "Zeera" is the Hindustani word for cumin seeds, often pronounced Jeera. The ingredients used are rice, cumin seeds, vegetable oil, onions and coriander leaves.

Instructions: 
  • Rinse basmati rice till the water runs clear of starch. Soak the rice for 30 mins and then drain all the water. Keep aside.
  • Heat 4 cups water till it comes to a boil. Add all the whole spices. Add rice and salt. Simmer the rice on a low flame uncovered.
  • The rice grains should be cooked till tender and yet separate. Drain the water and keep the cooked rice aside.
  • If you want you can rinse also the rice with water at room temperature. This stops the cooking of the rice and keeps the grains separate.
  • Heat oil in a small pan. Add cumin/jeera.
  • Let them crackle. They have to be fried well otherwise you will taste uncooked cumin in the rice.
  • Add the spices. Stir for a few seconds. 
  • Add the tempering to the hot or warm rice.
  • With a fork, gently mix the tempering with the rice grains. Even if some rice grains break, its alright. Do gently taking care so as not to break the rice grains.
  • Add coriander and gently mix or garnish the rice with coriander at the time of serving.
  • Serve jeera rice hot or warm with a dal or vegetable/paneer curry of your choice.

Quick and Easy Pasta With Cherry Tomatoes

This is the fastest, easiest way to make pasta sauce from scratch. The secret is using cherry tomatoes. Cherry tomatoes are almost always sweeter, riper, and higher in pectin than larger tomatoes at the supermarket. All of these factors means that cherry tomatoes are fantastic for making flavorful pasta.

Even better: it only takes four ingredients and about 10 minutes start to finish - less time than it takes to cook the pasta you're gonna serve it with. INGREDIENTS:

Aloo Jeera (Potatoes with Cumin)

A quick, easy and light potato dish. Potatoes boiled and sautéed golden with turmeric and jeera. Aloo Jeera is an easy and quick recipe which is just perfect for a lunch menu.

Jeera Aloo is a typical vegetarian Indian dish which is often served as a side dish and normally goes well with hot puris, chapatti, roti or dal. Its main ingredients are potatoes, cumin seeds and Indian spices. Other ingredients are red chili powder, ginger, coriander powder, curry leaves, vegetable oil and salt.

you just need to boil some potatoes first and then saute them with spices. If you already have boiled potatoes, then making jeera aloo becomes very quick.

Boil or steam potatoes along with ½ teaspoon salt, till they are cooked well. When the potatoes cool down or become warm, then peel them and chop in small cubes.

In a pan, heat 3 tablespoons oil. Let the oil become hot. You can heat oil on medium flame. Add 2.5 teaspoons cumin seeds (jeera) and let them crackle in oil. Stir quickly as the cumin seeds will begin to crackle in oil quickly.

Once the cumin seeds crackle and change color, then add 2 to 3 finely chopped ginger. Add all the spices and mix very well. Then add the boiled potato cubes.

Saute the potatoes for 2 to 3 minutes on low to medium flame stirring often. Next add some chopped coriander leaves.

How to Make a Perfect Over-Easy Eggs

If you like over easy eggs, but hate to flip them, here's a nice thing I learned while cooking for a living. Have a nice flat pan or a skillet that allows for a flat center. Get a cup with some water, and a good lid that covers the pan or at least the eggs.

Heat your oil or butter to warm, drop in the eggs and immediately make a circle of water around the edge of the egg(s). Cover and steam them till the yolks are white and not yellow. Voila!

Ingredients

1 egg           
Cooking spray or pat of butter
Salt and pepper (to taste)
2 tbsp water

Tools needed:                

Skillet with lid (preferably glass lid if you have it)  
              
Instructions

Lightly spray a medium low heat skillet with cooking spray or use a pat of butter. Gently crack two eggs into the skillet keeping the yolk intact and keeping them separated in the pan. When whites are set around the edges, season with salt and pepper.

Add 1-2 tablespoons of water the middle of the pan and sides of the eggs. Cover with the lid and increase the heat slightly so the water begins to steam and bubble. When you see a white cloud inching up the sides of the yolks, they're almost done. When the yolk is completely covered by white, they are done! Serve immediately.

One Pan Baked/Roasted Chicken, Potatoes And Vegetables Recipe | So Easy And Delicious!

One Pan Baked/Roasted Chicken, Potatoes And Vegetables this meal just couldn’t get any easier with crisp-tender chicken and veggies packed with so much flavor!


It is safe to cook chicken and vegetables together as long as you practice safe food handling throughout the preparation and baking processes.  The best is to brown the chicken first, and add the vegetables. This allows the chicken to reach a good internal temperature before the vegetables are done completely. As far as safe, if you cook the two simultaneously, it is fine.


Ingredients

Ingredients for the potatoes

  • 2.5 lb potatoes
  • 1 Tsp paprika/ any kind of seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Ingredients for the chicken

  • 2 Lb Chicken
  • 2 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 Garlic powder
  • Chili pepper flakes optional
  • 1 Tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1 Tsp Black pepper
  • 3 Carrots large
  • Green, yellow and red peppers
  • Baby tomatoes

    Instructions

Directions for the Chicken
