How To Make Golden Milk - Anti-inflammatory Drink

Enriched with the goodness of nature, turmeric has some amazing antiseptic, anti-inflammatory properties, anti-microbial, anti-allergic properties, which further help in preventing as well as curing several diseases. In fact, a blend of turmeric and hot milk a day can keep several diseases at bay.


Golden milk is a beverage that capitalizes on the benefits of turmeric in combination with other healthy ingredients like almond/coconut milk and black pepper. A warm, healing beverage also known as turmeric tea, golden milk has natural anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-arthritic, and anti-cancer benefits, among others.


Drinking a glass of turmeric milk on an empty stomach in the morning or just before bed at night can do wonders for your health as it boosts your immune system and fights off various infections. This will also relieve nighttime coughing and keep colds and flu at bay.


Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk
1 heaping tsp. Organic Turmeric
½ - 1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
⅛ tsp. Ground pepper
1 Tbsp. butter/coconut oil
4 thin slices of fresh ginger
1 Tbsp. honey


Directions:
Place the almond milk in a saucepan along with the turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and pepper.  Heat over medium low heat until the spices are dissolved about 5 minutes.


Pour the milk through a strainer into a cup.  Add the coconut oil and stir to combine.  Once the milk has cooled a bit then add the honey, stir and enjoy!
