Mangoes contain high level of vitamin C, fibre and pectin making it a perfect fruit that helps in controlling high cholesterol level. Another benefit of eating mangoes is that it cleanses your skin from deep inside your body.

Mango is one of the sweetest fruits and lower in fiber than other fruits, so a good rule of thumb is not to exceed two servings a day. Eating too many of these fruits can be harmful especially for those suffering from diabetes or weight problems. People who indulge too much, should take an extra run to burn the added carbohydrates.

Dried mango may be a convenient alternative to fresh mango but it is significantly higher in sugar and calories.

Mangoes shouldn’t be put in the fridge until they are ripe, so simply place unripe fruits at room temperature for a few days or you can place them in a paper bag to speed up the process. As soon as they are ripe, store in the fridge for up to five days.
